An assassination attempt on Bilal Zod!

Lebanon Debate has learned that the judiciary and security services were able to identify those implicated and instigators behind the attempted assassination of Beqaa Safrine Mayor Bilal Zod.

Preliminary information suggests that four individuals were arrested. They allegedly received money in return for the assassination of Zod. The instigators behind this scheme are said to be two individuals who orchestrated the plot because of the clashes that took place on July 1, 2023, in Qornet el Sawda and led to the deaths of both Haitham and Malik Touq.

This issue is expected to fuel sectarian differences in Qornet el Sawda, therefore contributing to a regional division.
