View this post on Instagram The Dead Sea is not a sea. The Dead Sea, also known as the Salt Sea, is actually a salt lake. It has a single source, the Jordan River, and is not connected to the ocean. It’s landlocked nature causes the water to evaporate and leave behind massive amounts of salt, making it so dense that people can float on top of it. #salt #deadsea #9timessaltierthantheoceanwater #israel #sea #lake #sand #saltlake #shoreline #water #beautiful #saltrocks #salty #travel #canonphotography #canont6s #worldtraveler #beach #waves #jordan #mountain #hot #beachlife A post shared by Rachel (@rachierach813) on Oct 29, 2018 at 1:13am PDT

C’est un arbre qui a une grande importance pour les malgaches, il est majestueux et sacré. . View this post on Instagram Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the World. View this post on Instagram To say that getting to the top was emotional is an understatement. I included a video of us walking to the sign at the top. If you listen closely you can hear me breathing and sniffling - I was holding back massive tears of joy. For many of us, this was a dream years in the making - the culmination of months of training and preparation. It was tough to leave the summit because I didn’t want the moment to end. What took eight hours to get to the top took two hours down. Anyone who has hiked with me knows that I hate scree. It was 1.5 hours downhill on scree. I think the adrenaline from the top kept us moving to get safely back to camp. A day I will never forget that was shared with some amazing people. We did it!!
