أثناء متابعته خطاب الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترمب في الامم المتحدة، غرد وزير الخارجية في حكومة تصريف الأعمال، جبران باسيل قائلا: "في خطابه امام الجمعية العامة، قال الرئيس ترمب ان من الافضل للمهاجرين ان يبقوا في بلادهم "ليجعلوها عظيمة من جديد" وان الهجرة ليست مسألة دولية بل يجب ان تتصدى لها دول مستقلة وفق مصالحها... هو على حق لكنه رغم ذلك انه لم يذكر اسم لبنان لدى شكر الدول التي استضافت نازحين سوريين... فيا ايها اللبنانيون: اسمعوا واعلموا ان احدا لن يعترف بالخير العالمي الذي قدمه لبنان الا اذا طبقنا قوانيننا وتصرفنا وفق مصالحنا اللبنانية"".
President Trump,in his speech at UNGA,said that migrants are best to stay in their countries to “make them great again”,and that migration is not a “global” issue but needs to be addressed by sovereign nations as per their “interests”! He is right... (1)

YET,he did not mention Lebanon in name while thanking the countries who received syrians displaced... To ALL Lebanese, LISTEN and LEARN that nobody will recognize the “Global Good”that lebanon has done unless we apply our laws and act according to lebanese interests (2)
