رأى مدير مستشفى الحريري فراس أبيض في سلسلة تغريدات على حسابه عبر "تويتر"، أنه "من المتوقع أن يدخل لبنان إغلاقًا كليًا ثانيًا قريبًا".
وأضاف: "الدروس المستفادة من البلدان التي نجحت في تجنب الإغلاق الثاني، ومن بعض الإستبطان العميق، مهمة إذاً ، بعد فترة من الزمن ، يجب تجنب الإغلاق الثالث".
1.5 Lebanon is expected to enter a second total lockdown soon. Lessons learned from countries who successfully avoided a second lockdown, and from some deep introspection, are important if, after a period of time, a third lockdown is to be avoided.

وتابع أبيض في تغريدة ثانية: "الإغلاق التام صعب، بل هو أصعب على السكان الذين يعانون من استنزاف عاطفي ومالي، ومن الواضح أنه من المتوقع حدوث تراجع كبير، سيكون الامتثال قضية رئيسية، زيادة المشاركة المدنية من خلال زيادة الوعي العام والتحفيز أمر لا بد منه".
2.5 Total lockdown is hard. It is even harder for a population that is emotionally and financially drained. It is clear that significant pushback is to be expected. Compliance will be a major issue. Increasing civic engagement by raising public awareness and motivation is a must.

وأشار أبيض في تغريدة ثالثة، إلى أنه "بعد الإغلاق الأخير، استغرقت المستشفيات وقتًا طويلاً للاستعداد، حاليًا يُعلن أن القوة العاملة في مجال الرعاية الصحية المنهكة، وعدم كفاية سعة الأسرة ، هما السبب الرئيسي للإغلاق.
وأكّد أنه "هذه المرة، سيكون لدى المستشفيات وقت أقصر للاستعداد، لا أعذار".
3.5 After the last lockdown, hospitals took a long time to prepare. Currently, an exhausted healthcare workforce, and insufficient bed capacity, are proclaimed as the main reason for the lockdown. This time, hospitals will have a shorter time to prepare. No excuses.

ولفت أبيض إلى أنه "بدون الإغلاق، سيزداد الاقتصاد سوءًا مع انتشار فيروس كورونا، ومع ذلك، لا يزال الكثيرون يعيشون جنبًا إلى جنب، وسيقبلون القليل الآن بدلاً من الكثير لاحقًا، الحوافز المالية للشركات والضعفاء هي مفتاح نجاح أو فشل هذا الإغلاق".
4.5 Without a lockdown, the economy will worsen even more as the virus spreads. Still, many are living hand to mouth, and would accept a little now rather than a lot later. Financial incentives for businesses and the vulnerable are key for the success or failure of this lockdown.

وأضاف: "يميل أي إغلاق إلى أن يكون أقل فعالية من السابق، ويرجع ذلك أساسًا إلى الإرهاق، في لبنان، تلعب العناصر الأخرى التي تنشر الخلاف أيضًا دورًا سلبيًا، ومع ذلك ، فإن المعركة ضد كورونا هي فرصة جيدة لإيجاد أرضية مشتركة وتصميم موحد".
وختم أبيض تغريداته، بالقول: "إذا لم يكن كذلك، فاشفق على الأمة".
5.5 Any lockdown tends to be less effective than the one before, mainly due to fatigue. In ????????, other elements sawing discord also play a negative role. Yet, the fight against Covid is a good opportunity to find common grounds and a unified resolve. If not, then, pity the nation.
