Drifting to Gun Shooting: al-Miniyeh Incident

Armed conflicts have become a daily occurrence in various Lebanese regions, especially in the North. Not a day goes by without a new shooting incident being added to this region’s security records. The recent incident that took place the past Sunday in al-Miniyeh is the best evidence.

Lebanon Debate learned that a dispute arose between the so-called (R.L.) on one the hand and between two brothers (H.C.) and (K.C.) on the other. This dispute rapidly escalated into gunfire after (R.L.) fired in the air with his military pistol. (H.C.) tried to get back at him in the same manner. Thanks to divine intervention, no injuries were sustained.

Information indicates that the conflict originated from car drifting but escalated into verbal altercations and ultimately firearm use.

Security forces have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and to apprehend the individuals involved, who have since gone into hiding.
