General Security Arrests Scam Mastermind

On Monday, the Lebanese General Security arrested one of the most dangerous men that scammed the Lebanese. The man in question is the owner of a network involved in various illegal activities, including prostitution, among others.

According to the information of Lebanon Debate, the so-called (R.A.N.) opened an office in Bauchrieh. To avoid legal scrutiny, he opened his business under the pretext of being a recruitment agency for domestic workers.

The individual, identified as (R.A.N.) posts social media advertisements offering services such as house cleaning on a daily or monthly basis and importing workers from abroad. However, it appears that (R.A.N.) deceives customers by aiding the workers he employs in escaping from their employers' homes and then exploiting them, some in prostitution and others in daily or monthly employment.

His plan typically involves taking a portion of the worker's sponsorship fee from the customer and then smuggling it back to the office. Notably, workers dispatched from his office to employers' homes reportedly lack identification papers.

Information revealed the General Security became aware of the situation and conducted the raid on the office in Bauchrieh on Monday. During the raid, they found 10 phones and apprehended the man. However, he attempted to bribe the patrol who reported the bribery attempt to the judiciary, resulting in additional bribery charges being brought against him.

It is noteworthy that the patrol declined the bribery. This action proves that despite economic challenges, security officials reject bribes and uphold national and transparent standards in their operations.

Many Lebanese fell victim to (R.A.N.)'s scam. General Security is expected to encourage and help those affected to come forward and file lawsuits against the perpetrator.
