"Lebanon Debate"


According to "Lebanon Debate" sources, a conflict erupted among prisoners from Al Alawa and Al Jaafar in Roumieh prison, resulting in the intervention of an anti-riot police of the internal security forces (ISF), who also confiscated many items such as phones and hidden knives.

After the unit of the ISF departed, some prisoners on the ground floor instigated a riot by burning their beds and sheets.

Consequently, the anti-riot police had to return to restore control. However, this time around, one ISF member sustained facial injuries.

The sources denied the claims circulating in a WhatsApp voice message about a security forces member being held hostage.

They also affirmed that the forces are still maintaining control over the prison and that they will be releasing further details of the incident in an official statement later on.
