Woman Stabbed to Death by her Domestic Worker

On Thursday morning, Ajaltoun woke up to a horrific crime. A woman under the name of J. Zgheib (41 years old) faced a gruesome death after being stabbed multiple times by her domestic worker.

Lebanon Debate learned that her Cameroonian domestic worker attempted to open the safe inside J. Zgheib’s room with a knife in order to steal her passport. When the woman woke up, they quarreled, and it escalated to the point where the domestic stabbed her employer five times in the back and shoulders.

Tragically, the children of the victim were present in the house at the time of the incident. Awoken by screaming sounds, they rushed to their mother’s room, only to be in utter shock at the horrific sight of her lifeless body covered in blood.

The neighbors could not help but hear the loud screams. Concerned, they called the security forces to report this unusual activity.

The security forces arrived at the scene and found the worker inside the apartment. The domestic worker did not flee before their arrival because she wanted to confess to the crime she just committed because the woman took away her passport.

In a discussion with Lebanon Debate, the neighbors expressed shock, noting that the woman and her domestic worker had an amazing relationship. They recounted how J. Zgheib had treated the domestic worker in nothing but respect and kindness since her arrival seven months ago.

The correspondent of "Lebanon Debate" confirmed that "the apartment was sealed with red wax until the circumstances of the crime are revealed and the investigation is completed."
