Urgent Calls for Security Measures in Northern Lebanon

Clashes have become almost daily occurrences in densely populated northern areas of Lebanon, often resulting in severe injuries and fatalities.

According to "Lebanon Debate" sources, what began as a verbal altercation among several young men quickly escalated into physical violence involving fistfights and knife stabbings. This altercation resulted in B.A. sustaining three stab wounds and W.M. suffering a broken jaw and severe head injuries.

The injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment, with one reported to be in critical condition, while the assailants fled the scene.

Security forces have been deployed to the area and launched an investigation.

Concerned sources in the region confirmed to "Lebanon Debate" that the “Nuns Street” and other regions in Tripoli are witnessing unprecedented escalation in violent incidents, underscoring the need for increased police intervention and intensified efforts to maintain peace and security in the city.

The sources considered that these cases reflect the exacerbated social and security problems densely populated areas, and urged all concerned authorities to take urgent measures to limit the spread of violence among residents and to preserve their safety.
