Citizen Robbed in Achrafieh

Lebanese regions are witnessing an alarming surge in mobile security incidents. It includes frequent cases of pickpocketing and street robberies that are increasingly jeopardizing social security and posing significant risks to public safety.

Details obtained by "Lebanon Debate" reveal that an Achrafieh resident was violently robbed while returning home by an unidentified individual riding a motorcycle. The assailant brandished a weapon to intimidate and steal from the victim.

Sources indicate that the citizen attempted to confront the thief, who fired a shot that fortunately hit the ground. This prompted the victim to resist, assuming that the weapon might not be real.

The altercation escalated, leading to the thief's motorcycle falling. The citizen attempted to apprehend the robber, but the latter fired towards him, injuring his hand. He fled the scene afterwards, on his motorcycle, to an unknown location.
