The Canadian Embassy to Evacuate 20,000 Nationals

As tensions between Israel and Hezbollah escalate, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported that military officials are preparing to evacuate 20,000 Canadians from Lebanon.

The US Embassy in Beirut has also advised its citizens against traveling to Lebanon "until the situation in the southern part of the country stabilizes."

Lebanese news sources indicated that the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged its citizens to depart Lebanon due to the heightened risk of escalation along the border with Israel.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia was among the first European countries to advise its citizens to leave Lebanon amidst the ongoing escalation.

Several European and regional countries recently announced plans to evacuate their nationals from Lebanon due to the prolonged clashes between Israel and Hezbollah.
