Hankash: We Need Evidence that Shebaa Farms are Lebanese Territory

Yesterday evening, al-Kataeb MP Elias Hankash stated that the "party" disagrees with the decision to engage in war without consulting the Lebanese people or considering the army, government, or any institution. He expressed concern that Lebanon has become a battleground for external forces and emphasized the Party’s strategic positioning within the Sunni community, which he described as advantageous for negotiations.

Hankash emphasized on the channel of al-Jadid, “In order to prove the Lebanese nature of the occupied lands in the north, we need evidence that the Shebaa Farms are Lebanese territory. We insist on the sovereignty of this country. We have reached a point where we must make the right decision, and let the Assad regime tell us that these areas are Lebanese."
