Tripoli has been experiencing frequent episodes of tension, with ongoing security disturbances plaguing its neighborhoods and streets for several months. The latest incident occurred on Monday in the Dome area, resulting in a critically wounded individual.

According to information obtained by Lebanon Debate, a conflict erupted between a member of family C and an individual identified as J.A.D., escalating into a physical altercation. During the altercation, the individual reportedly used a knife and intentionally stabbed J.A.D. in the face before fleeing the scene.

The shooting victim was rushed to Dar al-Chifae Hospital to get the necessary medical treatment for his serious condition.

Sources revealed that the root cause of the altercation was the long-standing revenge disputes between the two families.

Security forces reached the crime scene and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident. Efforts are also underway to locate and apprehend the fugitive.
