Residents of Baalbek woke up to a tragic incident as a man attempted to kill his ex-wife.
According to "Lebanon Debate" sources, A.D., of Syrian nationality, tried to kill his ex-wife H.D. at dawn on Wednesday. The sources revealed that there had been numerous recent disputes between the two.
A.D. broke into his ex-wife’s house and stabbed her in the face, however neighbors were quick to intervene after hearing her scream.
An intelligence army unit arrived at the crime scene and arrested the husband for questioning and H.D. was taken to Baalbek Governmental Hospital for treatment, as she is in critical condition.
Security forces also arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the crime.
