Information is circulating about Luna Al-Shibl, advisor to the Syrian president, following her involvement in a car accident.
Syrian reports disclosed that the car in which Luna Al-Shibl had her accident belonged to her husband. They intended to travel togother; however, her husband was arrested last week because he was a former member of the Baath Party.
The reports further stated that her brother was also arrested in Damascus last week.
The Political and Media Office of the Presidency of the Syrian Republic informed SANA Agency that Special Advisor Luna Al-Shibl was involved in a traffic accident on one of the roads leading to the city of Damascus on Tuesday afternoon.
The office clarified that the accident caused the car to veer off course, resulting in multiple impacts that left the advisor seriously injured, and was quickly transfered to a hospital in Damascus.
They also noted that she suffered a head injury that caused bleeding, necessitating intensive care and treatment from a specialized medical team.
