“Lebanon Debate”
The warnings from Cyprus's Foreign Affairs Minister, Constantinos Kombos, did not receive official or media attention. He discussed the severe consequences of a potential escalation of conflict in Lebanon. Furthermore, he indicated that Cypriots would evacuate Lebanon if such a scenario were to unfold. It is estimated that approximately one hundred thousand nationals would be evacuated to Cyprus or Greece.
