Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdallah Bou Habib considers it impossible to predict Netanyahu's upcoming announcement due to unclear intentions. This comes despite global opposition to full-scale war and calls for a diplomatic solution to ease tensions in the south.
Bou Habib, recently returned from the US, held numerous meetings and calls concerning UNIFIL's operations in the south and Israel's stance on avoiding war escalation.
In an interview with "Al Joumhouria", Bou Habib confirmed that everyone he met unequivocally opposes southern war escalation due to its unpredictable nature if it intensifies.
He emphasized that there was a clear preference for diplomatic solutions over military ones but cautioned that Netanyahu's actions will ultimately decide whether tensions in the south ease or escalate.
