اعتبر مدير مستشفى الحريري فراس أبيض في سلسلة تغريدات على حسابه عبر "تويتر"، أنه "يمكن تتبع الزيادة الحالية في حالات Covid19 الجديدة في لبنان إلى مصدرين رئيسيين: الاتصالات مع الحالات الإيجابية المحلية ، التي يسهلها السلوك المتراخي وتجاهل تدابير السلامة ، والأفراد الذين تم اختبارهم إيجابيًا عند الوصول أو بعد الوصول".
1.6 The current increase in new #Covid19 cases in Lebanon can be traced to two main sources: Contacts with local positive cases, facilitated by lax behavior and ignoring safety measures, and repatriated individuals that test positive on or after arrival.

وأضاف، "حلان واضحان: اقفال تام يعزل الجميع، وبالتالي يوقف الانتشار المحلي ويمكن إيقاف الإعادة إلى الوطن".
وأشار الى أن "كلا الحلين عشوائيان ويمكن استخدامه كإجراء مؤقت ومع ذلك ، لا يمكن عزل الأشخاص لفترة طويلة ولا منعهم من العودة إلى منازلهم".
2.6 Two blunt solutions: Lockdown quarantines everyone, thus halting local spread. Repatriation can be stopped. Both solutions are indiscriminate and can be used as a stopgap measures. However, people can neither be quarantined for a long time, nor prevented from returning home.

ولفت الى أن "السياسة المثالية، كما أظهرت بعض البلدان، ستعزل الفيروس بشكل انتقائي وتحتوي على الحد الأدنى من الاضطراب مع استمرار الحياة"، مشيراً الى أن "يتم تحقيق ذلك عن طريق استخدام الاختبار الشامل، والعزل، والتتبع، وكلها بمساعدة التكنولوجيا، لتحديد الحالات الإيجابية والحجر الصحي بسرعة".
3.6 The ideal policy, as some countries have shown, would selectively isolate and contain the virus with minimal disruption as life goes on. This is achieved by using mass testing, isolating, and tracing, all aided by technology, to quickly identify and quarantine positive cases.

وتابع، "للقيام بذلك ، نحن حاجة إلى 3 أشياء. على السلطات مراقبة التزام المجتمع بتوجيهاته"، معتبراً أن "التدابير العقابية لعدم الامتثال والتعدي على المعلومات الشخصية ستكون غير سارة ، ولكنها ضرورية وسيتطلب ذلك من الناس الثقة في السلطات".
وقال، "يجب أن يصل نظام الرعاية الصحية إلى القدرة المطلوبة في الاختبار والتتبع ونحن نتحسن ، ولكن لا يزال أقل من المطلوب".
5.6 The healthcare system has to reach the required capacity in testing and tracing. We are improving, but still short of what is needed. Finally, people will have to rise up to the challenge and behave responsibly. What we have witnessed on the streets has not been encouraging.

وأضاف، "أخيرًا ، سيتعين على الناس أن يرتقوا إلى مستوى التحدي ويتصرفوا بمسؤولية، ما شهدناه في الشوارع لم يكن مشجعا".
وختم:"باختصار ، لدينا جميعًا عمل نقوم به إذا أردنا تقليل العواقب الوخيمة لـ Covid19، وأكثر صعوبة هو أننا يجب أن نفعل ذلك معا"، لافتاً الى أن " هذا لم يكن أحد نقاط قوتنا هنا في لبنان ويقال أن المجتمعات تخرج بشكل أفضل بعد الأزمة ، أو لا تخرج على الإطلاق".
6.6 In short, we all have work to do if we are to minimize the dire consequences of #Covid19. More challenging is that we have to do it together. This has not been one of our strengths here in ????????. It is said that societies come out better after crisis, or do not come out at all.
