أعلن مدير مستشفى الحريري الجامعي فراس أبيض في سلسلة تغريدات على حسابه عبر "تويتر" أن "مريض كوفيد يبلغ من العمر 35 عامًا ، كان يعاني من ضائقة تنفسية حادة وتطلب تهوية ميكانيكية لأكثر من أسبوعين ، وخرج من وحدة العناية المركزة وهو في طريقه إلى المنزل".
وأبدى عن إعجابه "الكامل بفريقنا الذي لا يتنازل عن جودة الرعاية على الرغم من إرهاقه".

وشدد على أن "عندما تكتظ المستشفيات بالحالات الحرجة، قد تتدهور جودة الرعاية"، مشيراً الى أن "هذا الأمر لوحظ في العديد من البلدان التي تجاوزها كورونا".
ولفت الى ان "حاليًا ، تواجه مستشفياتنا تحديات نظرًا لاستقبالها المزيد والمزيد من المرضى الحرجين بعد الارتفاع الحاد الأخير في عدد الحالات".
2.5 When hospitals get overwhelmed with critical cases, the quality of care may deteriorate. This was noted in many countries overrun by Covid. Currently, our hospitals are being challenged as they receive more and more critical patients following the recent sharp rise in cases.

وأضاف: "مؤخرا، أعلنت وزارة الصحة عن مشروع يهدف إلى رفع جودة الرعاية في 11 مستشفى حكوميًا، سيتم توأمة 5 مراكز طبية أكاديمية وسيكون الإشراف وبناء قدرات الموظفين ومراقبة الجودة ومشاركة البروتوكولات السريرية جزءًا من المشروع".
3.5 Recently, @mophleb announced a project aimed at raising the quality of care in 11 public hospitals, who will be twinned with 5 Academic Medical Centers. Supervision, building staff capacity, quality control, and sharing of clinical protocols will be part of the project.

وأوضح أن "تسهيل المشروع سيتم بواسطة الجامعة الياسوعية بالتعاون مع منظمة الصحة العالمية والمستشفيات الجامعية المشاركة التي ستقود مبادرة الجودة هي خمسة: مستشفى الجامعة الأميركية، المركز الطبي في الجامعة اللبنانية الأميركية - مستشفى رزق، مستشفى القديس جاورجيوس الجامعي، مستشفى أوتيل ديو، ومستشفى رفيق الحريري الجامعي".
4.5 The project will be facilitated by @USJLiban, in collaboration with @WHOLebanon. The participating university hospitals who will lead the quality initiative are five: @AUBMC_Official, @LAUMCRH, @saintgeorgehosp, @hdf_lb, and Rafik Hariri University Hospital.

وتابع: "قبل عام ، لم يكن يعتقد أن مستشفى الحريري الجامعي سيكون على قدم المساواة مع المستشفيات الجامعية المرموقة في لبنان".
وشدد على أن "هذا التقدير يظهر لموظفينا أن جهودهم وتضحياتهم لم تمر دون أن يلاحظها أحد كما أنه سيحفزهم على فعل المزيد"، معتبراً أن "الفشل ليس اختيار".
5.5 A year ago, few would have believed that RHUH will be placed on par with the most prestigious university hospitals in ????????. This recognition shows our staff that their efforts and sacrifices did not go unnoticed. It will also motivate them to do more. Failure is not an option.
