رأى مدير مستشفى رفيق الحريري الجامعي فراس الأبيض في سلسلة تغريدات على حسابه عبر "تويتر", " أن أرقام فيروس كورونا الأخيرة تظهر أن المختبرات الخاصة يمكنها زيادة قدرتها عند الارادة للضعف تقريبًا، إذا تم تحفيزها ماليًا، وأكد أن هذا الامر يكاد ينطبق على سعة الأسرة في المستشفيات الخاصة أيضًا".
وأضاف،" سيتم استبعاد الفقراء وسيظلون بؤرة للعدوى. غير ان أولئك الذين يستطيعون تحمل تكاليف الرعاية الصحية الخاصة لن يكونوا قادرين على عزل أنفسهم عن الفقراء طوال الوقت. سيحتاجون إلى خدمتهم".
وأوضح الابيض, "أن عند حدوث اتصال، سينتشر الفيروس واذا لم يتم اجراء فحوص لفيروس كورونا سيصيب الجميع في النهاية، كاشفا أنه في الأيام القادمة من المحتمل أن ينخفض عدد الفحوص التي يتم إجراؤها، وكذلك عدد الحالات الجديدة المبلغ عنها".
وأعتبر الأبيض, "أنه بدون تغيير في تدابير السلامة المطبقة أو في السلوك العام، فإن الواقع لن يتغير وسيستمر فيروس كورونا في الانتشار، وسيؤثر على كل من الفقراء والأغنياء".

3.3 In days to come, the number of tests performed will likely drop, and so will the reported number of new cases. Yet without a change in the enforced safety measures or in public behavior, the reality will not change. Covid will still run rampant, affecting both, poor and rich.
