A Terrifying Incident in Tripoli

Danger is consistently looming over Tripoli as Security incidents persist in the northern capital, despite all attempts to curb this dangerous phenomenon. A recent incident involving a taxi driver on Wednesday evening is a concrete warning that the situation has spiraled out of control.

According to "Lebanon Debate" sources, three individuals hailed a cab in the Jabal Beddawi area. Upon entering the vehicle, they brandished two firearms, coercing the driver to drive towards a different area with the intention of robbing him.

However, their plan fell short as they got stuck in traffic due to a car incident. The driver benefited from this opportunity to swiftly get out of his car, shouting for help.

The thieves followed him suit and fired shots into the air, spreading fear among bystanders.

As they attempted to flee, local residents pursued and apprehended them, and hit them before handing them over to security forces.

An investigation was promptly launched following a lawsuit filed by the driver and sources have identified two of the assailants as Syrian nationals, while the third is Lebanese.
