Role of the Quintet is Diminishing

A diplomatic source confirmed that the role of the Quintet Committee assigned to address the Lebanese presidential file has seemingly diminished, paving the way for the US envoy, Amos Hochstein, to take the lead. The latter seems to be the only mediation the Shiite Duo agrees on. Additionally, he is the only figure they are willing to make compromises for when negotiating land borders and security arrangements following a ceasefire in Gaza.
