“Lebanon Debate”

The body of an unidentified, semi-decomposed man was found floating on the surface of the sea in Tripoli.

According to “Lebanon Debate” sources, maritime forces of the Lebanese army worked to transport the body to a hospital for identification. It was later confirmed that the body belonged to Ahmed Al-Shibli, a young man who had gone missing several days ago while swimming in the Kfar Abida Sea.

Ahmed Al-Shibli, who is of Palestinian nationality and resides in the Beddawi camp, had drowned along with two other young men. His brother, Khaled Al-Shibli, was rescued by civil defense teams shortly after drowning and was found to be in good health.

Reports revealed that two days ago, the body of their friend Izzat Yaqoub, known as “Al-Hanash,” was recovered.
