Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri affirmed that he "refuses to engage in dialogue or consultation exclusively with MPs who attend, in order to break the cycle of the presidential election being stuck in a loop."
In a speech to the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, he expressed his anticipation for “inclusive dialogue amidst Lebanon's exceptional circumstances. He emphasized his stance “against breaking or isolating a party.”
Berri recalled, "During the early days of Lebanon's war, under the directions of the late Imam Musa Al-Sadr, we were among the first to oppose the National Movement's decision to isolate al-Kataeb."
