“Lebanon Debate”
Yesterday, social media platforms were buzzing with news of an attack on the Islamic Hospital in Tripoli. Security forces had to intervene at the hospital gates following malicious actions posing a threat to all Lebanese, particularly those in the north.
In a dramatic incident similar to Hollywood movies, unidentified individuals targeted the ICU at the Islamic Hospital instead of the emergency department, as reported by "Lebanon Debate." They vandalized equipment and shattered glass to smuggle out two wounded individuals, identified as Mohamed al-Masri and Jihad al-Dolaa, who are wanted on multiple arrest warrants related to incidents of violence and shootings in the north.
According to reports, Lebanese army units, supported by Intelligence Division patrols, successfully apprehended the two wounded individuals and returned them to the hospital under tight security measures.
Authorities are actively pursuing the unknown assailants in order to apprehend and interrogate them.
In response to inquiries from Lebanon Debate, the hospital administration confirmed that the situation has stabilized since the assault, with the two wounded receiving necessary treatment under unprecedented security measures.
Additionally, sources within the Ministry of Health, speaking through Lebanon Debate, condemned the attack and called on relevant authorities to swiftly take legal and punitive actions against the attackers and facilitators involved in the brief escape of the wounded before they were recovered by security services.
