Lebanon Debate learned that several European airlines, including those from the Czech Republic and Italy, have rescheduled their flights to Beirut International Airport from Monday and Tuesday to unspecified future dates. This decision coincides with recent Israeli threats against Lebanon.
Sources indicate that Middle East Airlines has adjusted its flight schedule by either postponing or canceling certain flights due to issues related to insurance agreements. Under these agreements, insurance providers have absolved themselves of responsibility in the event of any security incidents involving aircraft owned by the company, whether on the airport grounds or within Lebanese airspace. Consequently, the airline has opted to temporarily relocate its aircraft to neighboring countries.
