أعلن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترمب، إنه قرر إلغاء مفاوضات السلام مع زعماء حركة طالبان بعد اعترافهم بشن هجوم في العاصمة الأفغانية كابل، الذي تسبب في مقتل أبرياء.
جاء ذلك في سلسلة تغريدات على حسابه عبر "تويتر"، الأحد، قال فيها: "إذا لم يكن باستطاعة طالبان وقف إطلاق النار خلال محادثات السلام، فربما لا يكون لديهم القوة للتفاوض على اتفاق مجددا".
وأضاف ترمب انه الغى اجتماعا سريا كان مقررا اليوم في كامب ديفيد مع حركة طالبان على حد تعبيره.
