أشار المنسق الخاص للأمم المتحدة في لبنان يان كوبيش، في تغريدة على حسابه عبر "تويتر"، الى أن "حاكم مصرف لبنان رياض سلامة قام بالتبليغ أن مصرف لبنان يقدم الآن رسميًا للحكومة معلومات واقعية حول الوضع في لبنان، بما في ذلك السيولة"، معتبراً ان "الشفافية الكاملة للجمهور ضرورية أيضا لشرح أسباب التدابير المتوقعة، بعد زيارة صندوق النقد الدولي".
BDL Governor Salameh informed that BDL now officially provides the Government factual information on the situation of Lebanon, incl. liquidity. Full Transparency, also to the public is necessary for explaining the reasons for anticipated measures, following the IMF visit.

واعتبر كوبيتش، أن "نجاح الإجراءات لإنقاذ لبنان من الانهيار يبدأ بدعم القوى السياسية الممثلة في البرلمان"، مشيرًا الى أن "هناك سيظهرون مصالحهم الحقيقية ، وليس في المظاهرات الشعبية أمام البنوك".
Success of measures to save Lebanon from collapse starts with support of the political forces represented in the Parliament. There they will show their true interests, not in populist demonstrations in front on banks.

وقال، "إنني أحث صندوق النقد الدولي على تقديم المشورة والمساعدة للحكومة عندما تستعد لسلسلة من الإجراءات والإصلاحات القاسية اللازمة للبدء في نقل لبنان من الأزمة الوجودية إلى التنمية المستدامة، ولكن بطريقة مسؤولة اجتماعيًا".
I urge IMF to provide advice and assistance to the government when it prepares a series of tough measures and reforms needed to start moving Lebanon from the existential crisis to a sustainable development, but in a socially responsible way.
