A big sector is facing challenges... Stability is Key!

With summer approaching amid security tensions in the south and a possibility of a full-scale war, will Lebanon enjoy a promising touristic summer?

In an interview with “Lebanon Debate”, the minister of economy Walid Nassar expressed that he is not worried about the touristic season as he confirmed: “As long as there is some security stability.in the country, the tourism sector will be active.”

When asked about the preparations and the tourism plan, Nassar highlighted the touristic plan that was announced by the tourism ministry for the 2204 season and its campaign "مشوار رايحين مشوار".

He stressed: I understand the legitimate concerns of hotel owners regarding the rise of “Airbnb” and their desire for fair competition within legal parameters.

Nassar confirmed that this is a big project that is launched with the ministry of interior, based on comprehensive statistics, while adding that he does not mind guesthouses but demands legislation.
