According to weather specialist Father Elie Khneisser, Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin will experience normal summer weather throughout this week, with temperatures staying within seasonal averages.

Khneisser explained to Lebanon Debate that “there will be no heatwaves in the coming week due to the influence of a seasonal Indian temperature decline, which has shifted away from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries towards Iran and Iraq.

He forecasted sunny weather with a slight temperature drop in Lebanon over the next few days. Temperatures will rise again on Thursday and Friday but will remain within normal ranges for this time of year. Humidity will increase, resulting in relatively hot weather during the day in coastal and Bekaa areas, moderating in the evening and night.

Today (Tuesday) was described as sunny with local fog in mountainous areas, with waves in the sea expected to rise about two meters.

Current temperatures include: 30°C during the day and 26°C at night along the coast, 30-31°C during the day and 23°C at night in the Bekaa Valley, 26°C during the day and 18°C at night in mountains above 1200 meters, and 21°C during the day and 15°C at night in mountains above 2000 meters. Winds are southwesterly, warm, and humid, blowing at speeds ranging from 15 to 40 km per hour.
