أشار مدير مستشفى الحريري فراس أبيض في تغريدة على حسابه عبر "تويتر"، أن "الأرقام الحالية لـكورونا في لبنان تشير بوضوح إلى أننا لا زلنا في عين العاصفة"، لافتاً الى أن "بعد تخفيف الإغلاق، هناك حاجة إلى استراتيجية جديدة وستلعب مسألتان دورًا رئيسيًا في نجاحها أو فشلها، هذه "مقايضات" و "مسؤوليتها على أي حال".

وأشار الى أن "المقايضات كانت في قلب المناقشات بين خبراء الصحة ورجال الأعمال"، معتبراً أن " الإغلاق يساعد على احتواء الفيروس ، لكنه يضغط على الشركات".
وسأل: "ما مقدار النشاط الذي يمكن تقييده ، مع الحد الأدنى من الإضرار بالاقتصاد، كم يجب أن يُضحي الكل؟".

وشدد على أن "المسؤولية الشخصية تتطلب أن يعمل المرء على عيوبه قبل توجيه أصابع الاتهام إلى الآخرين"، مشيراً الى أن " الجمهور والشركات يسألون عن سعة الأسرة غير الكافية والاختبارات أكثر من سؤالهم عن الامتثال لتدابير السلامة، بينما يميل مسؤولو الصحة إلى فعل العكس".
3/4 Personal responsibility requires one to work on their shortcomings before pointing the finger at others. The public and businesses ask more about insufficient bed capacity and testing than about compliance with safety measures, while health officials tend to do the opposite.

ولفت الى أن "الشتاء قادم وأرقام كورونا مرتفعة للغاية"، معتبراً أن "المساعدات الخارجية لن تتدفق إلى الأبد".
وأكد أن "هناك حاجة إلى استراتيجية ذات مقايضات واضحة، تقوم على العلم والجماعية قبل المصالح الشخصية، ويؤيدها الجميع، ثم يتعين على الجميع الامتثال، وإلا وإلا فسيكون الشتاء قاسياً".
4/4 Winter is coming. Covid numbers are too high. Foreign aid will not flow in forever. A strategy with clear tradeoffs, based on science and collective before personal interests, endorsed by all, is needed. Then all have to comply, or else. Otherwise, it will be a harsh winter.

وأعلنت وزارة الصحة في تقريرها اليومي أمس الأحد حول مستجدات فيروس كورونا، "عن تسجيل 595 اصابات جديدة بفيروس كورونا، ليرتفع العدد الإجمالي إلى 16870, و5 حالات وفاة".
