US planes are actively patrolling the vicinity of the US embassy following the Lebanese army’s successful arrest of the shooter.
The US embassy faced a serious incident after a gunman launched an attack, resulting in a severe head injury to one of its guards.
The attacker engaged in a firefight with the army, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. This assault prompted the army to cordon off the vicinity, including the surrounding buildings and forests.
